notarized written permission from the other parent when traveling
with one parent, or from both parents when traveling without
either parent. |

Most airlines will allow each passenger to check in two bags
per passenger with each bag weighing a maximum of 50 pounds
plus a carry on. |

Taxi's
are readily available at the airport. Rental cars are also
available. See our Transportation
Page for more info. |
| |
| What should I pack?
Almost everywhere in Mexico the atmosphere
and dress is casual with t-shirts and shorts being the uniform
of the day. For evening attire to a local restaurant, tropical
shirt, shorts or pants and tennis shoes for men and a blouse
and shorts or sundress and sandals for women is fine. We suggest
you bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, swimsuits, camera, film,
toiletries, prescription medication, snack foods, etc. [many
of these items are available in our gift shop.] |

Rancho Leonero's natural well produces
excellent drinking water and is piped throughout the resort
making the drinking water safe. |

in English. Our fleet captains all understand some English.
Should you need to make a special request, please advise the
front desk. |

| |
| What types of entertainment are available?
The East Cape's
pristine beauty and isolation are one of the main reasons
why we are like "old Mexico". There are several
restaurants catering to tourists in the area, offering a wide
range of cuisine comparable to any of the world's fine resort
areas, but no nightclubs or other nighttime entertainment.
Nighttime excursions to Cabo San Lucas or La Paz can be arranged
at the front desk. |
| |
| Can I use my credit card or write personal checks?
All
prices are in US Dollars - subject to change without notice.
Payment policy - US Reservations office accepts cash, checks,
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards from
any country. Payments at the resort are cash, traveler's checks,
and credit cards with US billing addresses only. Sorry, but
we cannot accept Canadian Dollars. Rate quotes and reservations
are not binding until receipt of a confirming deposit. |
| |
| What is the exchange rate and can I use US Dollars?
Currently
the exchange rate is about 10.6 Pesos per 1 US Dollar. Most
all businesses in the Los Cabos area will accept US Dollars
[generally at a slightly reduced exchange rate]. The resort
accepts US Dollars and Mexican Pesos. Please note we cannot
accept Canadian Dollars. |
| |
| What type of fishing gear should I take?
See our tackle
list for recommended tackle for fishing in Baja. High quality
rental tackle [4/0 and 6/0 Penn Senators] is available at
the resort. Mexican fishing licenses are required and can
be purchased at the front desk. For more information on fishing
see our Sportfishing Page. |
| |
| How can I bring back fish?
We recommend a 48 to 60 quart-sized
quality ice chest which will not only keep you within the
limits of Mexican fish and game laws, but also within the
airlines' 50 pound weight limit. Please bring freezer bags
for storing your fish and duct tape for securing your ice
chest. Bring newspaper for insulating your catch, as most
airlines do not allow ice in the coolers. Also, most airlines
do not permit Styrofoam chests for transporting your fish. |
| |
| How much should I tip?
A gratuity of 10% has already been
added to your room rate and bar charges. Tips for boat captains
and fish filleting crews is not included. A general guideline
would be 10% to 20% of the boat charter price. Tipping should
be based on the attention and service the crew provides as
opposed to the amount of fish caught. |
