Traveling by car:

Mexico Highway 1 from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas is over a thousand miles of mostly 2 lane blacktop road, "designed for economic growth, not for high speed driving". For the adventurous, this narrow ribbon offers some unparalleled panoramic vistas and an opportunity to experience the Baja close-up. As road conditions are subject to change unexpectedly, we suggest you check with your travel agent or travel club, such as Discover Baja Travel Club, for the latest on traveling on Highway 1. Remember, a validated Mexican tourist card is required for travel below Ensenada. Also, do not travel by car into Mexico without having purchased Mexican auto insurance.

The turnoff for Rancho Leonero is at km103 of the La Paz to Cabo San Lucas segment of Mexico Highway 1, just south of Buena Vista. Watch for our sign.
